St. Cecilia's Catholic Church Fall Supper

Begins: 9/22/2019 - 4:00 pm
Ends: 9/22/2019 - 7:00 pm

Let St. Cecilia's Church make you dinner on September 22 from 4-7pm...They will be serving Swiss steak, mashed potatoes, corn, coleslaw and pie.  Adults $12.00; 6-12yo $5.00; 2-5yo $3.00...Delivery within town (call 338-2663).  Farmers Market with baked goods and garden produce also for sale.  

CYP (Community Youth Project) Meeting

Begins: 9/23/2019 - 7:00pm

Meeting at 7:00pm in the Commons Area at the school.  CYP is a volunteer group that plans after prom and after graduation parties.  Everyone is welcome to attend the meeting.  CYP can always use more help and ideas for after prom and after grad parties!

Life Line Screening

Begins: 9/23/2019 - 9:00am

Velva City Hall is pleased to offer a preventive healtth event.  Life Line Screening will host health screenings on 9/23/19 at City Hall.  There are three ways to register for this event and to receive a $10 discount off any package priced above $129, please call 1-888-653-6441 or visit www.lifelinescreening.com/communitycircle or text the word circle to 797979.

Food Pantry

Begins: 9/24/2019 - 6:00 pm

The food pantry is open to all in need of some extra assistance.  Distribution is at the south door of Oak Valley church.  6:00 pm to 7:00 pm

A day of events to honor Velva Aggie's Homecoming

"Sink the Tioga Pirates"

  Friday, October 4: Pep rally at 1:15, Coronation 2:15,  parade at 2:45.  All open to the public.  

Vendors and farmer's market will be on the Welo corner.  

Football game (Velva vs Tioga) at 7:00 with tailgating at 6:00 sponsored by Verendrye Electric and SRT

 If you would like to enter a float (there are prizes!!) in the parade contact Suzy Lee at 720-2015. Come out and support the school and community on our annual Blue and Gold Days.

Hot Dish Festival

Begins: 10/5/2019 - 11:00 am

Save the Date: Velva Community Improvement group  is"cooking" up another fundraiser. (remember the flocking?) Join them for the first-ever Hot Dish Festival at Oak Valley Church.  October 5th, 11-2.  Tickets  ($10.00) available online at Everbrite.com after  September 1. Person interested in being a "hotdish maker" contact Ladonna Finnicum at 701-770-2444.  Until then, stay hungry. 

 

Get Your Flu Shot! First District Health Unit

Begins: 10/9/2019 - 10:00 am

Flu shot walk-in clinic will be held at Velva City Hall on Wednesday, October 9th from 10:00am- 2:00pm.  Ages 6 months and up.  High dose flu available.  To find other local clinics visit www.FDHU.org

Freedom Day at Velva Dental!

Dr. Hofer & her staff would like to show our local veterans how greatful they are for your dervice & for the sacrifices you have made for our freedom.  They will be providing exams, dental cleanings and x-rays...FREE for local veterans.  Appointments are required and there is limited space.  Call to schedule an appointment at 701-338-2061.
