Fire Department and Ambulance Services
The City of Velva Fire Department's mission is to protect and enhance the quality of life for all citizens and visitors from the adverse effects of natural and man-made emergencies. Our goal is to provide a protection program through a cost-efficient approach to emergency response, fire code application and public fire education. Our Fire Department is a volunteer service. If you are interested in joining the fire protection team, call 701-338-2361. Meetings are held at the fire hall on the second and fourth Mondays of the month at 6:30pm.
The Ambulance service is a Basic Life Support team with EMTs on duty at all times. Most all are volunteers and will train if your are interested in becoming a driver, first responder, or EMT. Meetings and training are held on the first and third Monday of the month, 6:30 at the fire hall.
